The R. Geigy-Stiftung has been supporting innovative infrastructure, training and research projects in the field of international health and public health since the 1970s. Early research was mostly devoted to the study of pathogens and vectors of tropical diseases. Today, the projects supported include all scientific disciplines and a broad range of topics. Despite their diversity, the projects all have one thing in common: they all combine field and laboratory work in an innovative way and develop solutions in partnership to improve human health. In this way, they ensure that the research results have a lasting effect.
