At its meeting yesterday, the Board of Trustees elected Gaby Senn as a new member of the Board of Trustees. She succeeds Beat Berger, who has been committed to the Foundation and the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH) for 17 years.

Change in the board of trustees of the R. Geigy Foundation: At its meeting yesterday, the Board of Trustees of the R. Geigy Foundation (Swiss TPH) elected Gaby Senn, Sales Manager of Senn Development AG and President of the St. Gallen Art Association, as the successor to Beat Berger, who has been a member of the Board of Trustees for many years.

R. Geigy Foundation: a strategically important vehicle for Swiss TPH

“I am delighted to be able to put my skills at the service of the R. Geigy Foundation and Swiss TPH in the future,” says Gaby Senn. Over the past decades, the R. Geigy Foundation has developed into a strategically important vehicle for Swiss TPH. It has supported strategic areas such as tuberculosis research, urban public health and research into global health systems. Young researchers in particular have also repeatedly benefited from targeted start-up funding from the Foundation and have been able to develop their great potential.

17 years of service to the R. Geigy Foundation

The outgoing Foundation Board member Beat Berger worked for the Foundation and Swiss TPH for 17 years. As a real estate expert, he was central to the Foundation, particularly in the area of real estate management and construction measures. “I enjoyed the collaboration and the exchange of ideas in this interdisciplinary committee immensely,” says Beat Berger. And: “I will continue to be associated with the R. Geigy Foundation and Swiss TPH in one form or another”
